Muskegon Community College men glide by Alma in hardcourt action

The Muskegon Community College Jayhawk men’s basketball team started quickly on Tuesday night and cruised to a 93-66 victory over the Alma jayvee team.

MCC (4-5) led by double digits the majority of the opening half and took a 42-32 lead after 20 minutes of action.

Alma stormed back several times and got as close at three points. The Jayhawk defense caused some issues for Alma down the stretch and the offense kicked into high gear. In the second half, MCC outscored Alma 51-34.

Jadakiss Lewis led the Jayhawks with 28 points, four rebounds, six steals and four assists. Joe Russau added 18 points and 14 rebounds. Andrew Spyke had 14 points and six rebounds.

The Jayhawks play at Mott Community College for a weekend tournament.
