COOPERSVILLE – The Spring Lake girls basketball team, supported by 22 points from Alexa Carter, tallied an OK-Blue win on Tuesday.
The Lakers outdid Coopersville, 52-44. Carter also added six rebounds.
The Lakers used a 19-7 second-quarter scoring run to establish a 31-15 lead at halftime. However, the Broncos came out of the break on fire and put together an 18-7 run to put them back in the game. The Lakers didn’t falter and managed to hold off the Broncos for the remainder of the game.
Brooke Bolthouse and Ellie Wrona each added nine points, while Ella Andree had eight points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Spring Lake (6-1, 2-0) will travel to Allendale on Friday for more conference action.
