MUSKEGON – The Mona Shores hockey team had more reason to celebrate than just its 4-2 league victory over Forest Hills Northern/Eastern on Wednesday.
That’s because Cooper Nellis and Cullen Conrad both bagged their first career varsity goals in the victory.
Zach Leibrandt and Eli Habetler accounted for the other two goals for Shores. Ethan Ring contributed two assists while Habetler, Zach Keessen, Brayden Bennett and Liam Hoekstra each added a single assist.
Goaltender Nick Durham posted the victory in net with 14 saves on 16 shots.
Next up for Shores is a home game against Manistique at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Lakeshore Sports Centre.
