MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks had some struggles during the non-conference portion of their basketball schedule.

But Wednesday night, in their first conference game of the season, the Jayhawk men posted an impressive 93-69 victory over Delta Community College.

The Jayhawks, finally healthy with all five of their starters in the lineup, raced out to a 40-29 lead at the half.

Delta cut the margin to six midway through the second half before an MCC surge of 33-15 produced the lopsided victory.

The Jayhawks (5-9) were strong on the boards with 43 compared to Delta’s 37. MCC scored 52 of its points in the paint.

Jacob Mueller led the way with 20 points and seven rebounds. Jadakiss Lewis added 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Tate Stine also reached double figures with 1- points. He also had six assists.

The Jayhawks play home on Saturday against Bay College.
