SPRING LAKE — Several swimmers were either second or third for the Ludington Orioles in Saturday’s Spring Lake Invitational, enough for them to wind up third overall in the competition.

The host Lakers won the event, scoring 422 points. Holt came in second with 392 while Ludington ended the day with 282. Manistee also was there and notched 188 points for sixth.

Kyle Eacker, Nathan Navarre, Johnny Wachter and Noah Fletcher combined for first in the 200-yard medley relay for the Lakers.

Manistee finished in second behind the Lakers with Alec Lampen, Drew Mendians, Ajae Gouker and Oliver Holtgren.

Lampen also notched an individual win for the Mariners in the 200-yard intermediate race. Mendians was first in the 100-yard breaststroke and picked up a second in the 100-yard freestyle.

Wachter took first for the Lakers in the 50-yard freestyle and Fletcher won the 500-yard freestyle.

Dylan Sniegowski took a second place in the 100-yard butterfly for the Orioles, while Rowan Vaara touched the ball in third in the 200-yard freestyle.

Ian Lundberg was second in the diving competition for Ludington.
