LUDINGTON — Ludington’s girls basketball team trailed Reed City by one after the first quarter, but outscored the Coyotes in each of the last three quarters Monday night enroute to a 41-28 non-conference home win. 

The Coyotes gained a narrow 9-8 edge in the first quarter, but the Orioles came back for a 12-7 edge in the second and went into the half with a 20-16 lead. 

Scoring was close in the third as well, but the Orioles had a 12-10 advantage to extend its lead to six, 32-26 and then pulled away with a 9-2 fourth period. 

Jordyn Anderson led the Orioles with 11 points. Elianna Jeruzal contributed eight and Peyton Welch and Madelyn Kenyon added six apiece. 

Ludington improved to 6-4 overall. The Orioles resume West Michigan Conference Lakes Division play Tuesday at Orchard View.
