HOLTON – Ryann Robins posted a double-double to help lead the Holton girls basketball team in a low-scoring 35-16 win over White Cloud on Monday.

“It was a game with many missed shots,” said Holton coach Robert Jordan. “Credit to White Cloud as I felt they played harder and more intense than us for most of the game, but lucky for us, they couldn’t hit many shots either.

The Red Devils had averaged 54 points a game over this last six-game win streak.

“It’s nice to see us win a game where we struggled on the offensive end,” said Jordan. “We have to clean it up as fast as we can.”

Robins put up 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Abbie Fowler added six points and six steals. Aubrey Goyings pulled down 11 rebounds.

White Cloud’s Annie Feldpausch led the Indians with six points.

Holton will travel to North Muskegon on Tuesday for a WMC-Rivers contest.

White Cloud will be at Grant on Friday.
