Muskegon Catholic earns non-conference victory over visiting Ravenna

MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Catholic boys’ basketball team upset Ravenna, 59-47, in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night.

The Crusaders pulled ahead 36-24 at halftime and maintained the lead until the end.

Jake Westhoff led the Crusaders with 15 points, while Owen Lyonnais and Jacob Lyonnais scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

The Bulldogs’ Wyatt Young and Blake Homoly each chipped in 10 points apiece. Carter Schullo threw in eight points.

Muskegon Catholic (3-11, 0-1) will host Fruitport Calvary Christian on Friday for an Alliance League game.

Ravenna (7-6, 4-3) will be at home against White Cloud on Tuesday.
