The Muskegon girls’ basketball team plowed past Grand Rapids Union 62-20 on Tuesday night.

The Big Reds jumped out to an 18-2 lead through one quarter of play, led 43-9 at halftime and had a 53-17 advantage going into the final quarter.

Mariah Sain paced Muskegon with 17 points and four rebounds while Shamari Hamilton scored 10 points. Kennedi Loudermill added six points and Camiyah Bonner had five points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

The Big Reds also had contributions from Jaila Martin with four points and eight rebounds while Kamrin Ward pulled down eight rebounds.
