NORTH MUSKEGON – The North Muskegon boys basketball team continued their flawless campaign with a comeback win over Fremont on Thursday. 

Despite being down 15-4 after the first quarter, the Norse buckled down and went on a run to win, 53-39. 

“We got off to a slow start, but credit to Fremont as they began the game hot and got us to rush a bit,” said North Muskegon coach Charles Rypstra. “We settled down and got a few shots to drop and played good defense throughout, which allowed us to win.” 

Lamarkis Graham put up 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made four steals for the Norse. Adam Dugener added 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Jaxon Lisinski had 11 points and three assists. James Young chipped in nine points and seven rebounds.

The Packers’ Ben Mellema scored 13 points including three 3-pointers. Chaz Miller contributed 11 points.

North Muskegon (13-0, 7-0) will host Oakridge on Tuesday.

Fremont (7-8, 3-4) will travel to Ludington on Friday, Feb. 2 for a WMC-Rivers contest.
