Richards tops 40 points again in Fruitport Calvary Christian’s victory over Muskegon Catholic

MUSKEGON – Bradley Richards helped spearhead another Fruitport Calvary Christian victory with a strong performance on Friday evening.

Richards put together a memorable game with 41 points and 14 rebounds in an 82-64 Alliance League victory over Muskegon Catholic Central. Earlier in the week, Richards scored 45 in a game against Wellspring Prep.

“We were very proud of how hard the whole team played and the leadership shown by our captains,” said Calvary Christian coach Brad Richards. “It was a total team effort.”

Quinn Swanson threw in 20 points and eight assists, while Sam Zelenka posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 assists.

The Crusaders Owen Lyonnais led the way with 25 points and Jacob Lyonnais added 15 points.

Calvary Christian (8-5, 1-2) will host Barry County Christian on Monday.

Muskegon Catholic Central (3-12, 0-2) will see league action on Tuesday as they travel to Wyoming Potter’s House.
