SPRING LAKE – The Spring Lake boys basketball team fell short in a low-scoring battle against OK-Blue foe Coopersville on Tuesday.

The Lakers were edged out by the Broncos, 36-34.

The Broncos claimed a small lead early and left the Lakers battling a deficit for much of the game. The Lakers managed to erase the deficit and go up by one point with two minutes to play, but the Broncos answered and stole the win from the free-throw line.

Eli Morrison led the Lakers with 12 points, while Zach Schlepp added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Spring Lake (5-4, 1-1) will see more league play as they travel to Allendale on Friday.
