The Spring Lake girls’ basketball team was ready for the tip off as they cruised to a 58-13 victory over Fruitport on Friday in an O-K Blue Conference contest.
The Lakers jumped out to a commanding 19-2 lead after the opening quarter, led 37-6 at halftime and had a 50-13 advantage going into the final stanza.
The Lakers were led by Ella Andree with 16 points, while Alexa Carter added 12 and Ellie Wrona had 11.
Spring Lake also played suffocating defense, holding the Trojans to 4-of-34 shooting and outrebounding them by a 28-12 margin.
The Lakers are now 5-1 overall on the season and 1-0 in league play.
The Trojans were paced by Ashton Olson with six points.
Fruitport is now 5-2 overall, 0-1 in the OK-Blue.
