The North Muskegon girls’ basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter and earned a 54-43 win over Newaygo on Tuesday night.

The Norse outscored Newaygo 25-19 during the final stanza after leading 29-24 through three quarters of play.

Delaney Young paced North Muskegon with 20 points, while Emma Buchmiller added nine points and three assists. Emma Lamiman chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

Naomi Schillman led the Lions with 10 points.  Kija Schultz added nine points and pulled down six rebounds.  Maria Riddering chipped in six points and six steals.

The Norse are now 6-3 overall on the season while Newaygo falls to 4-5 overall.
