GRANT – Julie Ashbaugh was on fire with a career-high 32 points to help the Grant girls basketball team top Whitehall 71-44 on Tuesday evening.

The Tigers led 31-23 after the first two quarters and led the rest of the way.

“The girls buckled down and played a great basketball game,” said Grant coach Josh Delamater. “Defensively, everyone did a great job of rotating and keeping the Whitehall players in check.”

Natalia Rodriguez added 11 points for the Tigers.

The Vikings’ Kendall Osborne and Lexi Daggett each scored 10 points.

Grant (13-4, 8-1) will host Morley-Stanwood on Friday for CSAA play.

Whitehall (7-13, 5-6) will be at home for WMC-Lakes against Orchard View on Friday.
