ALLENDALE – The Muskegon Community College track and field team continues to shine as it prepares to head to the national meet in Florida.

On Friday, the Jayhawks closed out the regular season with 17 collegiate personal records.

The meet included MCC, Calvin, Grand Valley, Davenport, Hope, Michigan State, North Park and Purdue Northwest.

Kyler Dean had another stellar day that included a school record, a personal best and a spot in the 800-meter run at nationals (1:55).

At the nationals, MCC will be represented by the following:

Dean – 800-meter, 1,000-meter, Distance Medley Relay and the men’s 4×400 relay team.
William Ripple: Distance Medley Relay.
Daniel Gomez: Distance Medley Relay.
Bryce Turner: Distance Medley Relay and the 4×400
Isaac Easter: 4×400 relay
Karlito McKinney: 4×400 relay.

The team will be leading Muskegon on Feb. 28 and compete in the national meet March 1-2.
