GRANT – The Grant girls basketball team overpowered White Cloud, 50-23, in CSAA play on Wednesday night.
The Tigers didn’t quite have the spark they were looking for on offense, but adjusted to make up for it with their defense.
“Our defensive rotation was excellent tonight and helped us on a night when we struggled to make shots from the floor,” said Grant coach Josh Delamater.
Julie Ashbaugh led the Tigers with 16 points and Alexa Obenauf put up 14 points.
Jaden Gomez led the Indians with nine points and Kadence Nickoloff scored six.
Grant (12-3, 8-0) will be at home for league play against Kent City on Friday.
White Cloud (7-12, 2-7) hosts Reed City on Friday for a conference contest.
