ALPENA – The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks suffered a road loss on Friday night against Alpena Community College.

The Jayhawks were outscored 36-28 in the second half and lost, 70-62.

MCC had an 11-point lead late in the opening half, but when the buzzer sounded, the game was tied at 34-all.

The team went back and forth in the second half with five lead changes and two ties before Alpena claimed the eight-point victory.

Jacob May led the Jayhawks with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jadakiss Lewis and Jacob Mueller each added 14 points.

The Jayhawks are now 7-12, 3-3 in the conference. Alpena is 6-10, 4-2.
