GRAND RAPIDS – Zach Schlepp had an exciting return to action as he helped push the Spring Lake boys basketball team to a tight 57-55 OK-Blue comeback victory over Grand Rapids West Catholic on Friday night.
Schlepp, who missed the last three weeks of action, scored a team-high 19 points and bagged the game-winning shot for the Lakers in the closing seconds.
The Lakers trailed for nearly the whole game until the fourth quarter where they found a spark and jumped ahead.
Eli Morrison and Colin Burt each scored 12 points for the Lakers.
Spring Lake (10-10, 5-7) will be at home for conference action against Hamilton on Tuesday.
