SPRING LAKE – The Spring Lake girls basketball team was handed a tough loss, 40-38, against Allendale in OK-Blue play on Friday.
The action was tied at 15 points after the first half then the Lakers fell behind by one point after three quarters. The Lakers couldn’t find the upper hand and were again outscored by Allendale by a point to seal their fate.
Ella Andree scored 11 points and Alexa Carter threw in nine points. Brooke Bolthouse and Tessa Britt added six points apiece.
Spring Lake (12-4, 7-3) will be at home for conference play against Holland Christian on Tuesday.
