HOLTON – The Holton softball team opened the season in dominating fashion against Montague on Monday.

In game one, Kenzie Greene threw a no-hitter and struck out seven batters to help lead the Red Devils to a 15-0 win.

Greene earned three RBI and a double. Lexi Bart had three RBI and a double. Emma Monette added a pair of RBI, while Grace Thompsen and Ryann Robins each chipped in a double.

The Red Devils cruised to a 13-3 win in the nightcap that saw Robins bag a home run, a double and five RBI.

Abbie Fowler struck out seven batters and made four steals. Bart had two RBI and a double and Thompsen also doubled.

Holton (1-0) will travel to Decatur on Thursday.
