NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores boys’ lacrosse team slowed down from a quick start and fell, 13-5, to Tier 1 Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Monday.

The Sailors jumped out to a 3-1 lead early on but penalties and lack of possessions set them behind for the rest of the game.

“We got in our own way last night,” said Mona Shores coach Murle Greer. “The guys are disappointed and know they can play better. This was a good learning tool for us in what not to do and we are excited to move forward to our next opponent.”

Ezra Carefelle had a pair of goals and an assist, while Dylan Fett scored two goals. Cullen Conrad added one goal and an assist.
