ROCKFORD – The Mona Shores girls basketball team had a hard night against powerhouse Rockford in the Division 1 district final on Friday evening.

The Sailors were routed by the Rams, 69-27.  Rockford came into the game ranked No. 2 in the state in the latest Associated Press poll.

Khaleeya Cook scored 12 points, while Laynie Russell and Kylie Dusenberry chipped in six and four points, respectively. 

Mona Shores wrapped up the season with a 15-10 record.
