MUSKEGON – For the second straight day, the Muskegon Community College Jayhawk softball team posted a sweep of a twinbill over Bay Community College.
 
On Friday, the Jayhawks posted 5-0 and 16-3 victories after sweeping both games on Thursday.
 
In the first game, Brooklyn Galdeen pitched seven innings and allowed seven hits and no walks. She struck out four.
 
Jasmine Pastoor belted a home run. She also walked and had three RBI. Willo Staal had a hit, a walk and scored two runs.
 
The Jayhawk bats came alive in the second game, highlighted by home runs by Pastor and Willo Staal. Pastor had three hits and knocked in four runs. Staal also had three hits and three RBI. Lilli Goodrich added three hits.
 
The pitching duties were handled by Hannah Aldred, who gave up one run on three hits in four innings of work. Willo Staal pitched the last inning and allowed a pair of runs.
 
MCC (9-7) hosts Lansing Community College on Tuesday.
