NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores baseball team opened the season with a 7-4 loss to North Muskegon on Monday.

North Muskegon jumped out on the Sailors early, scoring six runs in the first three innings. 

Mona Shores’ Brady Recknagel drove in two runs with the Sailors’ lone hit. Jaden Thomas had two walks and scored a run, while Ethan Ring walked three times.

Mona Shores (0-1) will be at Oakridge on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup.
