The Spring Lake Laker boys’ swimming team proved to be more than just a solid team in the pool this season.
The Lakers also are also a solid team when it comes to excellence in the classroom.
Spring Lake, which finished eighth in the recent state swimming meet also garnered all-academic honors.
The team was named all-state all-academic with a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.83.
Individual honors also were earned by three members of the team. Senior Nathan Navarre has a 4.0 GPA. Senior Ryan Bonney is at 3.98 and junior Kyle Eacker is at 3.87.
