The Mona Shores baseball team made easy work of Muskegon on Tuesday in a doubleheader.

The Shores cruised to a 22-1 opening-game win over the Big Reds, then won the nightcap in shutout fashion, 18-0.

In the first contest, Luke Travers earned the victory, allowing one run on two hits while striking out six batters.

The Sailors were paced offensively by Brady Tilden with three hits, three RBI and three runs scored while Brady Recknagel added three hits, three runs scored and an RBI.

Nathan Opfermann and Lincoln Harwood each added two hits to help Mona Shores. 

In the nightcap, Jayden Ammeraal earned the win on the mound. He struck out three batters and held the Big Reds without a hit.

Tilden once again led the offensive attack with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored. He finished 5-for-5 on the day.

Ammeraal had a hit, two RBI and three runs scored, while Hunter Krueger had a triple, three RBI and three runs scored.
