The Muskegon Big Reds and the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders battled to a 1-all standoff in girls’ soccer on Monday.
Muskegon played a defensive style and MCC had a tough time breaking through to the goal.
Muskegon scored the game’s first goal off a corner kick with seven minutes left in the first half.
MCC got on the board in the second half on penalty kick by freshman Michayla Assaad.
MCC had 13 shots on goal while Muskegon had one.
MCC plays next at home against West Michigan Aviation Academy on Tuesday, 4/23 at 5:30 pm.
