COMSTOCK PARK – The Muskegon Catholic Central baseball team t00k a trip to the home of the West Michigan Whitecaps on Wednesday and earned a split of a doubleheader against Pewamo-Westphalia.
Pewamo-Westphalia won the opener, 7-4, while MCC bounced back for a convincing 12-2 victory in the second game at LMCU Ballpark.
In the opener, Owen Lyonnais took the loss on the mound.
Bryan Convertini, Owen and Henry Rosema each had a pair of hits.
Jacob Lyonnais went the distance in Game 2 and gave up six hits but struck out four batters.
Dewey Modaff had three hits, while Bode Zygmuntowski, Jacob Lyonnais and Convertini each added two hits.
Muskegon Catholic Central (12-3) will travel to Wyoming Lee on Thursday for a single game.
