LUDINGTON — North Muskegon unleashed it bats and solid pitching on Thursday and swept a softball twinbill from the host Ludington Orioles.
 
North Muskegon won the opener 17-0 and the nightcap, 14-1 in West Michigan Conference action.

For Ludington, Madelyn Kenyon went to the pitching circle in the opener and allowed 10 hits and six walks  while striking out a pair in three innings.

The Orioles finished the short contest with two hits, one apiece by Maddie Enbody and Aylana Rangel.

In the second game, Ludington had Jody Meisenheimer pitching, and she went the distance. She allowed 11 hits and six walks with three strikeouts.

Leading the Orioles at the plate was Taesyah Hendricks with a double and a run batted in. Keeley Curtis scored the only run of the game for Ludington.

The Orioles (0-6) are scheduled to travel to Montague for another conference twinbill on Tuesday.
