SHELBY – The Oakridge girls soccer team edged out Shelby, 3-2, in West Michigan Conference play on Monday.

Kyle Lacy, Olivia Rivenbark and Destiny Bowen each netted a score for the Packers. Cara Morse, Amaya Anderson and Sienna Eacker chipped in an assist apiece.

The Eagles’ goalkeeper Alayna Weiss made eight saves.

Kendall Zaverl scored for Shelby in the first half with an assist from Kylie Brown. In the second half, Brown scored with an assist from Zaveril.

Oakridge (3-4, 1-1) will be at home against Ludington on Wednesday. 

Shelby (2-4, 0-2) will travel to Ravenna on Thursday.
