Shelby, Orchard View battle to 1-all draw in league soccer match

SHELBY – The Shelby and Orchard View girls soccer teams played to a 1-1 draw in West Michigan Conference play on Monday.

The Tigers outshot the Cardinals, 8-6.

Nazalia Mendiola opened the scoring in the first half with the Cardinals’ lone goal.

The Tigers’ Kylie Brown netted a goal off of an assist from Molli Schultz to tie it up.

Shelby (4-6-2, 1-3-2) will be at home on Wednesday for a league game against Ludington.

Orchard View (3-6-1, 1-5-1) hosts Whitehall in a conference match on Wednesday.
