The Western Michigan Christian Warrior soccer team came out fast and gained control of their game against Zion Christian.
 
The result was a four-goal opening half for WMC.
 
In the end, the Warriors had an 8-2 victory.
 
The Warriors scored often and early in the first half with two goals from Nora Pollock, one from Mia Oppenhuizen and one from Emersyn Paling. 
 
In the second half, with some players moving to different positions, it took a little bit for the Warriors to settle in. Pollock popped in two more goals and one each from GillyAnne Beckley and Abigail Derdowski.
 
Elaina Clapp made six saves. 
 
“I’m very pleased with our effort and brand of soccer played tonight,” said WMC coach Jared McFarland. “I’m looking forward to training this week and getting 1 percent better every day.”
