WYOMING – The Western Michigan Christian baseball team swept Tri-Unity Christian in a doubleheader on Tuesday.

The Warriors took the opening game, 9-6, and the nightcap, 11-4.

On the mound for the Warriors, Sam Kuiper and Jack Sipe each struck out three hitters.

Quint Menefeee kicked off his night’s offensive barrage with three hits, three runs and four stolen bases. Alex Wagenmaker added two hits, one run and two RBI, while Caleb McKay had one run, one hit and drove in three runs.

Max Miller, Nathan Clausing and Kuiper each had a hit. Will Liggett and Sipe chipped in a run apiece.

The Warriors claimed the nightcap with a rout.

Menefee had a triple, a single, an RBI and scored twice. McKay threw in two hits, three runs, one RBI and two stolen bases, while Wagenmaker had two hits and an RBI. 

Miller had a hit and drove in three runs. Liggett scored two runs and collected a pair of stolen bases. Luke Maat had a two-run triple, a single and scored a run.

McKay went the distance at the mound and struck out five batters.

WMC will travel to Hart on Friday.
