MUSKEGON – The Mona Shores baseball team took down Muskegon Catholic Central, 7-1 on Wednesday evening.

Brady Recknagel was strong on the mound with 13 strikeouts and allowed four hits and a run.

Dewey Modaff took the loss for the Crusaders.

Jayden Ammeraal had two hits, three runs and an RBI, while Hayden Smith added two hits and an RBI. Jaden Thomas chipped in one hit and an RBI.

The Crusaders’ Bode Zygmuntowski had a double.

Mona Shores (4-3) will be at Marsh Field on Thursday to play the final game of a three-game series against Muskegon.

Muskegon Catholic Central (7-2) hosts Potter’s House for a single game on Thursday.
