HOLLAND – The Mona Shores boys golf team claimed the top spot at an OK-Green Jamboree with a score of 168 on Wednesday.

Reeths-Puffer tied for second place with Zeeland West at 176.

Eddie Kuznar and Josiah Bement each shot a 41 for the Sailors. Luke Dethloff and Cooper Nellis each carded a 43.

The Rockets’ Kristian Brown and Dylan Panozzo tied for third place with a 42.

“Dylan and Kristian performed as I would expect them to,” said Reeths-Puffer coach Matt Pallett. “They are two of the better golfers in the conference and they showed that tonight. They both seem to be still finding their game with areas to improve, which is a great sign.”

Ayden Hartzell chipped in a 43 and Aiden Waggoner had 49. Jake Lee and Carter Hekkema shot 57 apiece.

“I am very happy for Ayden because he is close to putting it all together,” said Pallett. “Sometimes his mental game limits him, but he overcame a tough hole early on and showed the mental toughness to put a great stretch of golf together to end his round.”

Mona Shores will be at Brother Rice on Monday.

Reeths-Puffer will be at Crystal Mountain for a two-day tournament this weekend.
