KENT CITY – The Kent City softball team blanked White Cloud in a CSAA doubleheader on Friday.

The Eagles took game one, 1-0, before really turning up the offense in the nightcap for an 11-0 victory.

Lylah Larson earned the opening win on the mound, striking out 12 while only giving up two hits and one walk.

Laynee Hoffman had one hit and scored the Eagles’ lone run. Hannah Stellini and Milah Mollien chipped in a hit apiece. 

In game two, Larson allowed three hits and struck out five.

Hoffman led the Eagles’ offense with three hits and three runs. Ellie Hansen added two hits, two runs and three RBI. Brooklin Armstrong had two hits, one run and an RBI, while Laila Mortenson threw in one hit, two runs and an RBI. 

Stellini contributed a hit and a run, while Larson had a hit and two RBI. Kenzie Freeland had a hit and an RBI.

Kent City will visit Chippewa Hills on Tuesday for league play.

White Cloud is set to compete in the Ken Smith Invitational on Saturday.
