NORTON SHORES – Mona Shores went 1-1 at home in the East-West Showcase on Saturday, while Reeths-Puffer lost both games against Berkley and Salem.

The Sailors opened with a 3-1 loss to Berkley. The Sailors held an 11-4 shot advantage, but went down early and failed to recover.

Ella Kinney scored the lone goal off of an assist from Addison Fisher, and Jersey VanderWall made one save in the net.

In game two, the Sailors bounced back to beat Salem 3-1 after going down 1-0 in the first half.

Shay Norden tallied two scores and Ava Freye added a goal and an assist. Olivia Naylor and Katie Phillips each had an assist. VanderWall posted four saves.

Mona Shores (11-2-1) will travel to Spring Lake on Monday. 

Reeths-Puffer lost 4-1 to Salem and 4-2 to Berkley in the one-day tournament.
