FREMONT – The Fremont girls’ soccer team got the upper hand in a 5-2 win over Howard City Tri County on Friday evening.

The game kicked off in back-and-forth fashion, and the Packers led 2-1 at halftime. The Packers’ Mia Clemence turned it on with a pair of second-half goals to give Fremont the edge.

Clemence tallied four goals and an assist on the night. Makenna Scott added a goal and an assist, while Maddie Mater and Taylor DeKuiper had an assist.

Fremont (10-1 overall, 7-1 WMC) will host Fruitport on Monday.
