MUSKEGON – The Reeths-Puffer baseball team blanked Wyoming in an OK-Green twin bill on Thursday.

The Rockets earned two big shutouts, 13-0 and 10-0.

In the opener, Jaxson Whitaker gave up two hits and struck out six batters, while Colton Bessinger struck out the side in the final inning.

Trent Reichert led the Rockets at bat with three hits and three RBI. Ethan Frang added two hits and an RBI. Jack Yonkman, Holden Earnest, Lukas Johnson, Caiden Theisen, Ethan Muskovin and Brayden Mitchelson each had a hit.

The Rockets led game two 7-0 by the bottom of the first inning.

Reichert allowed two hits and struck out five, while Drew Brooks had four strikeouts in the last two innings.

Whitaker contributed two hits and three RBI. Yonkman, Earnest, Muskovin and Chase Smith had one hit each.

Reeths-Puffer will travel to Wyoming on Friday for a single game to finish the series.
