WHITE CLOUD – The Kent City volleyball team held off a pesky White Cloud team to claim a CSAA Conference victory in four close sets on Thursday.
The Eagles edged out the Indians to remain unbeaten in conference play, 25-18, 28-26, 21-25 and 27-25.
Laynee Hoffman led the Eagles with 11 kills, three aces and 19 digs. Maddy Mitchell had 11 kills and three blocks. Kenzy Freeland chipped in 10 kills, one ace and three blocks.
Cailynn Hartzell contributed nine kills, three aces, 35 assists and 15 digs, while Kaden Perkins had two aces, six assists and 23 digs.
Kent City (7-3-3, 3-0) will be at home for league action against Morley Stanwood on Tuesday.
White Cloud will travel to Central Montcalm on Tuesday for a conference match.
