SPRING LAKE – The Ludington swim team competed in the Spring Lake Invitational on Saturday and took fourth place behind Spring Lake, Holt and Grand Rapids Christian High School.

Host Spring Lake won the title with 565 points. Holt was second at 354, Grand Christian had 333, Ludington had 261, Fremont had 224 and Manistee had 143.

Scoring points for Ludington were the following: Ludington’s 200 medley relay team of Jaen Vronko, Ian Lundberg, Dylan Sniegowski and Gavin Smith finished third with a season best time of 1:51.67.

In the 200 freestyle, Smith finished sixth with a time of 2:10.62, Vronko finished eighth with a time of 2:12.86 and Nolan Jorissen took 15th with a time of 2:30.44.

In the 200 IM, Dylan Sniegowski finished second with a time of 2:17.28 and Lucas Miller finished ninth with a time of 2:30.96.

In the 50 freestyle, Smith finished seventh with a time of 24.66, Grady Sailor finished 12th at 25.33.

In diving, Sawyer Bishop finished first with an 11-dive score of 309.65.

In the 100 butterfly, Dylan Sniegowski finished in second place with a state qualifying time of 57.41, Carter Anderson finished 11th with a time of 1:28.52.

In the 100 freestyle, Grady Sailor finished in 10th place with a time 55.52.

In the 500 freestyle, Ian Lundberg finished in seventh place with a time of 5:57.44.

Ludington’s 200 freestyle relay team of Jaden Vronko, Carter Anderson, Lucas Miller and Grady Sailor finished in fifth place at 1:47.16.

In the 100 backstroke, Vronko finished in third place with a time of 1:03.20, Jonah Peterson finished in 14th place with a time of 1:24.43 and Kyle Stidham finished in 16th place with a time of 1:35.20.

In the 100 breastroke, Ian Lundberg finished in seventh place with a time of 1:15.17, Lucas Miller finished in 12th place with a time of 1:17.48 and Nolan Jorissen finished in 14th place at 1:20.99.

Ludington’s 400 freestyle relay team of Gavin Smith, Ian Lundberg, Dylan Sniegowsk and Grady Sailor finished in fourth place with a 3:44.54.

Ludington will host Fremont and Holland High School on Thursday.
