LUDINGTON – The Ludington girls basketball team picked up its fourth straight win Tuesday night with a tight 40-35 non-conference victory over Reeths-Puffer.
 
The game was played at Ludington.
 
It was close all the way. The Orioles led 8-6 after one but the Rockets came back to win the second quarter 13-7 to snare a 19-15 edge at the half.
 
The Orioles had an 11-10 third quarter and the Rockets went into the fourth with a 29-26 lead.
 
Ludington pulled the game out with a 14-6 fourth.
 
Peyton Welch and Grace Forfinski scored nine points apiece to lead the Orioles. Jordyn Anderson added eight.
 
Reeths-Puffer was led by Racquel Walker with 16 points and seven rebounds. Ashlyn David added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
 
The Orioles improved to 15-5 on the season and finishes the regular season by hosting Benzie Central on Thursday.
 
Reeths-Puffer fell to 5-16 on the season and next plays in the district tournament next week.
