Ludington goes 2-1 in volleyball quad with Calvin Christian, OV and Fremont

The Ludington posted a 2-1 record on Tuesday in a quad-match win Calvin Christian, Orchard View and Fremont.

The Orioles lost their first match to Calvin Christian with the scores 25-18, 11-25 and 20-25.

Ludington bounced back with wins over Orchard View (25-8, 24-26 and 25-6) and Fremont (23-25, 25-13 and 25-9).

Elena Vaara led the Orioles with 21 kills followed by De’Lahna Porter with 18. Porter, Mia Pung, Sophia Cooney each added five aces apiece while Karli Mesyar chipped in with 45 assists.

Ludington was paced defensively by Porter with 20 digs and 10 blocks while Cooney added 16 digs.
