NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores boys soccer team posted its first conference win of the season against Holland on Tuesday night.

The Sailors took down Holland, 4-1.

Dan VanderPloeg scored twice for the Sailors, while Abe Freye and Vincenzo Padilla each added a goal.

Gavy Stout contributed an assist.

“We had a very strong game today against a very good team,” said Mona Shores coach William Moulatsiotis. “We continue to figure ourselves out and get better each game.”

Goalkeeper Dylan Brady posted the first-half shutout and Kaden Semlow played in the second half.

Mona Shores (3-1-2, 1-0) will travel to Wyoming on Tuesday (Sept. 6).
