ADA – The Reeths-Puffer boys’ golf team kicked off the season against strong competition in the Forest Hills Invitational at Egypt Valley Country Club on Monday.
The Rockets posted a score of 397 to finish 21st.
“Egypt Valley is a tough course especially if you are not playing well,” said Reeths-Puffer coach Matt Pallett. “I purposely challenged our team by putting us in a tough competition on a tough course for our first event. This event will make us better.”
Kristian Brown led the Rockets with an 89 and Aiden Waggoner carded a 98. Ayden Hartzell shot a 104, while Jake Lee had 106.
“Golf can be a humbling sport and today as a team and as individuals we were humbled,” said Pallett.
Reeths-Puffer will visit the Mines Golf Course on Wednesday for an OK Conference-Green Jamboree.
