The Muskegon Community College softball team swept a doubleheader from league-leading Lansing Community College on Friday, 5-0 and 6-2.
In Game 1, the Jayhawks scored three runs in the first to take the lead for good. Morgan Engelsman pitched the victory, tossing a three-hitter and striking out nine. Yogi Hang had a three-run homer for MCC while Bri Mairose had three hits.
In Game 2, Kirsten Johnson pitched a complete-game victory for the Jayhawks. Mairose had two hits, including a three-run homer while Alysia Folkersma and Lindsey Greer each had two hits.
MCC improved to 22-11 overall and 15-7 in conference play.
