Sophomore Kellen Mitchell totaled 36 points, including 29 in a blazing first half, to propel the Western Michigan Christian boys basketball team to an impressive 55-38 victory over North Muskegon on Tuesday in non-league action.
The difference in the game came in the first quarter, when the Warriors rolled to a 26-9 lead at the first buzzer. The two teams were within a point of each other in the last three quarters.
Owen Varnado added nine points and seven rebounds for WMC while Brandon Fles snagged six rebounds.
Trevor Schultz paced the Norse with 10 points, John Hayhurst had eight points and 12 rebounds, and Jack Dobb totaled six points and five assists.
