Today, Local Sports Journal announced it will be publishing a 24-page football tab previewing each of the area’s teams.
And from what we are hearing, it will be the only football tab published this fall.
Our experienced staff of writers will be talking to area coaches and athletes and putting together a highly informative 24 pages of information to get you ready for the high school football season.
The tab will be available, for $3 per copy, at the some jayvee and varsity football games the first week of the season.
As we get closer to the season, we will announce locations of where you can get your copy.

The cost is $3 each… we will are working on a plan to get them sold at some games and maybe some other places in the community. We have prices on 2,000 and 3,000… wish we knew how many to print.

Will it be similar to what the Chronicle has done in the past? Rosters, returning starters, Players to watch, etc….if so I'd buy atleast one.
Very similar. 18 schools will each get one page of coverage. There will be a main story, a box down the with coaches, records, scores from last year, strengths, etc. All the schedules on one page and a few ads from some sponsors — 24 pages in all.
When you look at the roster of impressive writers and realize they are the ones that created the former Chronicle version of the preview, it's easy to get excited that this one will be better than ever!
Thanks for all the responses and interest for the tab. We are compiling a list of places where the LSJ's football tab will be for sale. We will publish that list early next week. We are in the process of pinning down when the tab will be delivered to the Muskegon area and ready for be sold. We have a couple places in the Oakridge area so far, along with a store near Holton and SportClips. We also will be at a JV football game or two on Wednesday, Aug. 22, as well as varsity games on Thursday and Friday nights.
Ron, I will sell them for you at the Westside Inn. You folks are providing a great service for the local sports fans and I would be happy to help.
