WHITEHALL – The third quarter proved to be the difference in an important early season West Michigan Conference boys basketball match-up between Oakridge and Whitehall, with the host Vikings falling 53-47 after being outscored 17-12 in the third quarter.

Leading 21-18 at the break, the Eagles benefitted from scoring seven players scoring in the third to escape with the victory.

Whitehall’s Isaac Love led all scorers with 17 points, while adding five assists, while teammate Frank Owens finished with 13 rebounds and eight points.

Francis Decker led Oakridge with 14 points, with Austin Wright poured in 12 points and Joey Warren added eight points and eight rebounds. Oakridge’s Jordan Wahr finished with three steals in the win.
